MORE NORTHERN FUN

THE KIDS WITH GRANDPA AND GRANDMA... THEY WERE SO GRACIOUS TO PUT UP WITH ALL OF THE NOISE FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS:)

ONE OF THE KIDS FAVORITE THINGS TO DO UP NORTH IS TO WATCH THE DEER EAT IN THE BACK YARD... I SPOOKED THE 4 THAT WERE RUNNING OFF... CAN YOU SEE THEM?

THIS WAS A SHEET OF ICE FROZEN A FOOT OFF THE GROUND...

MORE FUN WITH THE COUSINS
So we arrived safe and sound back to the papa of the house... it was so nice to see him. The 12 hour road trip was pretty uneventful except for...
---the 35 minute detour down the Illinois toll road due to a wrong turn... Yikes!
---one sweet little girl hanging her head over a plastic bag due to a little bit of carsickness... poor Anna.
---no dinner till we arrived home at 8:30 due to a mother that didn't realize the turnpike started so soon... there aren't many exits with food once you are on that thing. Poor kids, they were good sports.
We had a great ride, we did have to pull out the old "QUIET GAME" just to save everyone's sanity for a bit. Jojo is always very serious about this game, especially when there is a treat at the end of it. He would bust out minutes after everyone else started up talking, "I won... see mama, I be the quietest." Man, he is so precious. We all get such a kick out of him.
We thank God for safe travel and for a great get-away time spent with sweet family and dear friends.

Glad you're home safe! And had such a great trip (don't ya love the freedom of homeschooling so you can do stuff like that!?)

Illinois toll roads are miserable, aren't they?
