HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter everyone. We are so blessed and we praise God for His goodness to us in His death and resurrection which we celebrate this day. Wow, we are so undeserving and He is so gracious.

We were encouraged at our church to come to Easter service on Saturday. St. John's being such a big church has so many visitors and families that come on Easter Sunday morning. We decided we would try it. It was a bit strange to go the night before Easter, but it was awesome. It really felt just like Easter Sunday Service. We spent Easter with our neighbors upstairs and good friend Miss InHee Cho. The kids were blessed with Easter baskets donated by someone to the food bank. Boy they loved them and honestly were a whole lot nicer than what we usually give them:) The kids had to run out in the snow, huge beautiful flakes were falling. It was a bit strange on Easter but thankfully it didn't stick around. We pray that you are finding joy and peace in our wonderful risen Savior Jesus.

WHO IS THIS CRAZY CHILD?

Does this child belong to us? Looks like our seminary kids had a little too much time on their hands. This occurred the same day the kids literally spent 4 hours playing in the Indian fort making all sorts of cakes, pies, stew, and buffalo meat out of mud. They were a bit of a mess, but had a great time:) I love to see their imagination at work.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET BOY

Jojo is 3. We can hardly believe it. We are so thankful that he is a part of our family. He is such a sweet little guy. He certainly has his moments and recently has been starting to throw some tantrums, but he is so easily corrected it almost makes me laugh at times. He is such an easy kid and a real joy to raise. We praise God that he is had made it to 3 safe and sound and we pray for many more happy healthy years for him. We can't wait to see what God has in store for his precious life.

A FUN FEW WEEKS!

SLEDDING WITH THE COUSINS

SWEET BABY ISAAC

SWEET BABY MEGUMI

THE KIDS WITH KEN HAM

THE CREATION MUSEUM

I have to say the Hintz house is kind of in a state of shock... Brett Favre announced his retirement from the Packers today. Sadness for all the Packers fans here. Oh well...

We are back from Wisconsin and back to blogging. We were blessed with a wonderful time away. We actually were iced in without power within 8 hours of getting there. We were fortunate to have such great traveling weather up there before the bad weather began. We were able to visit with friends from our home church when we went there for their Wednesday night dinner and programs. We had great fun with my parents and 3 brothers and their children. Family time is so precious to us. The weather was freezing, we got to experience true Wisconsin weather.

Thankfully after a month of not feeling well, I passed a kidney stone. No wonder I was feeling bad. Honestly people say it is worse than childbirth. Anyone who knows me, knows I think childbirth is awesome... but really passing the stone wasn't that bad. God was gracious to me! Immediately after I passed it I felt great!

From Wisconsin we headed to Indiana to visit relatives and see the Creation Museum. We were so fortunate to see my cousin Tom and his wife Debi and their miracle twins, Isaac and Megumi. Their life from conception has been one miracle after another. We have prayed for them for the past year and a half and to actually see God's answers and blessings face to face was so awesome. They are just beautiful and so precious. Tom and Debi and babies plan to head back to the mission field in Indonesia in a few short months.

We stayed at my cousin Carol's house. They are always such gracious hosts. The Creation Museum is just 1 1/2 hours from them. We were blessed with passes for our family. It was such a great place. We got to hear Ken Ham speak which was really neat. He is the CEO of Answers in Genesis. Wow, he is such a wealth of knowledge. The museum is top notch and great for people of all ages. The kids were excited to get their picture taken with Mr. Ham. It was so amazing to see a place completely dedicated to getting the gospel message of Jesus Christ out there to everyone. I would definitely recommend making a trip there if you are ever in the Ohio/Kentucky area. You would be blessed.

We are happy to be back in St. Louis and are ready to face our last quarter here at the seminary.

AN UNPLANNED HAIRCUT...AHHH!

DO YOU NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE LENGTH OF THE SIDES?

ANNA AFTER THE PROFESSIONAL HAIRCUT:)

This morning while Anna was working on some of her preschool pages I think she decided to enter the school of cosmotology and do a little work on her own hair. Of course in the busyness of the day no one noticed it until a few hours later. Oh well, these things happen right? She got a good talking to, so hopefully it won't happen again. I have always cut all of the kids hair but with this special :) haircut I had someone who actually knows what they are doing try to fix it. We think she looks pretty sweet. My mom and I always laugh because when I was little I had a few years when I remember people asking me if I was a boy or a girl. Needless to say I was a bit of a tomboy and I looked a bit like a boy with my really short hair. So I have always wanted Anna to have long hair... it will grow back. It actually gave the boys and I a good laugh when she wasn't listening She is happy she thinks that she looks like her cousin and best little buddy Sophia.

Well we are all healing, thank the Lord. For the most part we are all feeling much better. Greg has 2 more days left of finals... Yeah the end is in sight for him. We are planning on getting a babysitter and are going to the Valentine Dance on campus on Friday. The women's group here on campus is hosting it. Thye put on a lot of fun events for the students and their families. Have I mentioned family night in the school cafeteria? It is such a blessing and fun time for us. The seminary will feed the wives and all children 10 and under for free. The husband just has to pay about $6 for himself. So our whole family gets to eat for $6. It is quite the deal and it gives us an opportunity to have some neat fellowship with our dear friends on campus. We love family night:)

PRAYING FOR HEALING:)

OUR FAMILY DURING HEALTHIER DAYS

At the moment Greg is holding the family together. Yikes, isn't that one of my jobs? Well, since last Thursday one by one the kids have bit the dust. They have had high fevers (Louis had up to 104.8), headaches, coughs, even some vomiting for a couple of them(I know that is too much information:)... Thankfully 3 of the 4 are feeling much better. Caleb is the only one really not feeling too well yet, but he was the last to get it. I think the verdit is out, we have had the flu in the Hintz house. Last week I had an infection that landed me in the hospital during the night. I have since recovered but as of yesterday I think it is returning. I should hear back from the campus Doctor tomorrow if I should be taking something new for it. We are usually really healthy so this last week has us really appreciateing our normally good health. Greg is holding it together so far. We are really praying for healing for the rest of us and that Greg doesn't catch what we've had. He has so much to do with finals coming up next week. God is faithful we know we will get through this with His help, we are so thankful for the healing He has done thus far.

A WINTER WONDERLAND

It was a beautiful day in St. Louis. When we went to bed last night there were probably 2 inches of snow on the ground. Let me just say that when the snow falls in St. Louis it is different than in Wisconsin. The seminary puts snow parking into effect, which means all that live on campus need to move their cars down the hill to the fieldhouse parking lot so they can plow the regular areas. I have a doula client that was due to have her baby last Sunday. She called yesterday and said that she had contractions all day and they were getting closer last night. So I was sure she would call during the night...my honey was sweet enough to say that if she called during the night he would go trek through the snow to get my car and bring it up so I could take it. Thankfully we all got a good nights sleep even the expectant mom whose contractions stopped when she went to bed:) We probably got a total of 7-8 inches of snow. All the schools were shut down today... all except the seminary which opened an hour and a half late... poor Greg they still had class. Poor Louis and Caleb, when you homeschool it doesn't really make a difference if it snows:) We did do school, but they were quite motivated and worked really hard to finish early.
Anna and Jo woke up with fevers. They were pretty miserable, crying, whining, just all around not happy little guys. They both took a good nap later in the day and then were so much better. I can't believe how quickly kids can recover. They wanted to go out in the snow so bad. So I took them out and pulled them in the sled. We had a blast. There is something refreshing about being out in the freshly fallen snow. Greg always laughs...when you are married to a Northern girl there are a lot of things that are refreshing such as northern lake water in the summer. Greg says it isn't refreshing it is just plain COLD! We are thanking God for His beautiful snowy creation and His healing touch today.
